In a nutshell

Dancers in studio levels 2 & 3 will be given the opportunity to learn a complete choreographic piece! Ample time will be given to learn, rehearse, and then professionally film the project, thus giving the dancer a keepsake of their hard work. A Production Day is scheduled into each Project’s timeline to allow for multiple runs of the finished piece and filming.

FINAL TOUCHES

Costumes will be discussed with each cast for a possible additional cost to the dancer.  We will do our best to use what we already own or make frugal yet effective choices for costuming.  Hair & makeup choices will be decided by the Choreographer to support their vision.  Any props utilized will be purchased by the studio and remain property of the studio unless otherwise specified.

How to Apply

If you are interested in "auditioning" for a project, you will click on the "Audition Here" link associated with a project and then fill out the form. All Project’s will be announced on this webpage. The Studio will let you know via email of your acceptance into the Project. Please be mindful that you are making a commitment to a set rehearsal schedule and that your attendance is mandatory for the success of the team! Rehearsal schedule, including the Production Day, is found within the "Audition Here" link.

Inclusivity

In the event that we receive more inquiries than spaces, we will choose dancers that apply first AND meet all of the Project's mandatory criteria. You will find the criteria outlined in the "Audition Here" form. Acceptance into a Project is NOT based on popularity or preference. If you do not get into a Project, there will be others coming up and we will do our best to make sure everyone level 2 & 3 that wants to participate, can!

Why Level 2 & 3 only?

These Projects require a base skill set of intermediate or above. This is to prevent frustration for dancers and to allow the piece to be learned efficiently. Dancers in level 1 are encouraged to take Let's Dance and other level 1 choreography classes to work on their ability to pick up and perform dances. If you are not sure whether you meet the requirements of a piece, please visit the "Audition Here" form and read the mandatory movement prerequisites.

Payment & Policy

Dancers are responsible for the full tuition of the Project at the time of acceptance into the piece. Payment can be made by an additional credit card charge or by applying studio credits.

Dancers are allowed 2 missed rehearsals with prior notification (as soon as possible). There are no refunds for missed rehearsals, even with 12-hour notification. If additional rehearsals are required, this will be discussed and agreed upon by the participants/Choreographer and any additional tuition will be posted. The Production Day will require an additional fee in order to provide you with the finished video of your performance!
